How electric motor works? Class 10
ELECTRIC MOTOR |
Material Required:
1.Two Brushes:-
B1(not attached to R1): Just slips on R1(not attached to R1).
and
B2(not attached to R2): just slips on R2(not attached to R2).
2.Two Split rings:-
R1: connected to arm CD.
and
R2: connected to arm AB.
3.Two opposite poles of Permanent magnet.
4.ABCD coil(see figure).
5.EFGH wire(see figure).
6.Battery(see figure).
7.Axle(see figure).
Working:
When current starts flowing from B1 to B2 (see figure). In arm AB direction of current is from B to A.
Fleming's Left hand Rule |
Q.Where the direction of Magnetic Field?
= yes, From North Pole to South pole.
Now, Apply the Fleming's Left hand Rule in Arm AB.
Yes, Force direction Is Downward.
Now, Apply the Fleming's Left hand Rule in Arm CD.
Yes, Force direction Is upward.
Hence, Coil ABCD start rotating with R1 and R2 But remember that the B1 and B2 just slip not rotate.
After One rotation:
After One rotation |
After One rotation(See This figure⇗⇗),R1 comes in contact of B2 and B1 comes in contact with R2. And the direction in CD is From C to D and AB is from A to B. And This Process will Continue Till Current transfer has not been stopped.Hence, our electric motor is ready.
